Towfigh<\/em>, das <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antidiskriminierungsstelle.de\/SharedDocs\/aktuelles\/DE\/2024\/20240911_18JahreAGG.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>18. Jubil\u00e4um des Allgemeinen Gleichbehandlungsgesetzes<\/strong><\/a> (AGG) in Berlin gefeiert. Dieses war am 14. August 2006 in Kraft getreten. Zugleich wurde die Antidiskriminierungsstelle des Bundes gegr\u00fcndet, bei welcher mittlerweile mehr als 80.000 F\u00e4lle eingegangen sind.<\/p>\n<p>Im Rahmen ihrer Rede sprach die Unabh\u00e4ngige Bundesbeauftragte f\u00fcr Antidiskriminierung, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antidiskriminierungsstelle.de\/DE\/unabhaengige_bundesbeauftragte\/bundesbeauftragte_Biografie\/kurzbiografie-node.html\"><em>Ferda Ataman<\/em><\/a>, von dem AGG als \u00bbMeilenstein in der Geschichte der Demokratie\u00ab. Auch die Bundesfamilienministerin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmfsfj.de\/bmfsfj\/ministerium\/ministerin-hausleitung\/lisa-paus-196110\"><em>Lisa Paus<\/em><\/a> nannte es einen \u00bbDurchbruch f\u00fcr die Antidiskriminierungspolitik\u00ab. Keynote-Speaker des Abends war Autor und Publizist <a href=\"https:\/\/michelfriedman.info\/\"><em>Prof. Dr. Michel Friedman<\/em><\/a>, welcher die Bedeutung des AGG in den aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Kontext einordnete:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00bbIn unserem Land herrscht mehr Diskriminierung denn je. Sie ist allt\u00e4glich nicht nur bei Extremisten, sondern sie ist auch in der Mitte der Gesellschaft angekommen. Menschen, die Diskriminierung erfahren, brauchen mehr Unterst\u00fctzung denn je\u00ab<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Trotz des vielen Lob f\u00fcr das AGG, wurde auch mehrfach der Reformbedarf des AGG angesprochen. <em>Ferda Ataman<\/em> kritisierte den schwachen Diskriminierungsschutz.
