On September 28 and 29, 2024, the international conference \u00bbComparative AI Law: Regulating the Future – A Transnational Perspective\u00ab<\/strong> took place in Shenzhen, China.<\/p>\n

The event brought together leading experts from academia, practice and industry from various countries to examine the legal and regulatory challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) from a global and comparative perspective.<\/p>\n

The two-day program included eight exciting panels addressing topics such as global AI governance, liability systems, intellectual property, market transformations, the role of AI in legal practice and the moderation of AI-generated content. Renowned academics and practitioners, including representatives from leading technology companies, shared their insights and stimulated in-depth discussions. Emanuel V. Towfigh<\/em> gave a presentation on \u00bbChallenges and Implications of Automated Decision-Making Systems in Anti-Discrimination Law\u00ab<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference was organized by Gilad Amiri<\/em><\/a>, Dai Xin<\/em><\/a> and Emanuel V. Towfigh<\/em>, with financial support from Chang Tsi & Partners<\/a>, Peking University School of Transnational Law<\/a> and the BRYTER Center for Digitilization & Law<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The presentations given during the conference will be published in a special issue<\/em> of the German Law Journal<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
