On Thursday, November 21, 2024, the \u00bbGesellschaft f\u00fcr Didaktik der Rechtswissenschaft e.V.\u00ab [Society for the Didactics of Law] was founded. According to its statutes, the association promotes \u00bbscience and research in the field of legal didactics at universities and in legal education and training\u00ab, and \u00bbin particular through the organization and implementation of scientific conferences, further training and other scientific events, through the improvement of interdisciplinary and interprofessional exchange on general and subject-specific didactic issues and through the development of reform proposals for legal education and training\u00ab. The aim is to professionalize the discussion on legal didactics and to drive it forward in a targeted manner. Anyone who is professionally involved in legal education can participate.<\/p>\n

The society was founded as part of a legal didactics conference on the \u00bbFuture of Legal Didactics\u00ab at the Ruhr University Bochum, which was organized by Julian Kr\u00fcper<\/em>. Emanuel V. Towfigh<\/em> is one of the approximately 60 founding members and was elected to the founding board; at the conference, he gave a lecture on \u00bbAufgaben einer empirischen Reflexion der rechtswissenschaftlichen Fachdidaktik<\/strong>\u00ab [Tasks of empirical reflection on legal didactics]. Due to his stay at the Peking University School of Transnational Law, he was only able to attend the founding ceremony virtually.<\/p>\n
