From June 2nd<\/sup> to 4th<\/sup>, 2025, the German Law Journal<\/em><\/a> hosted a new edition of its traditional Transatlantic Seminar<\/strong> in Vienna, in collaboration with Iris Eisenberger<\/a> from the University of Vienna. The event brought together scholars and students from both sides of the Atlantic to engage with pressing legal questions from a transnational and comparative perspective.<\/p>\n

Over two intensive days of presentations, commentary, and debate, participants explored topics ranging from judicial reform and migration law to consumer protection and the regulation of emerging technologies. The format encourages interdisciplinary dialogue and methodological reflection.<\/p>\n

In addition, the seminar offered an opportunity for exchange between the Journal\u2019s Editors-in-Chief<\/em> and Student Editors<\/em>. Shared meals and visits to the Constitutional Court, the Austrian Parliament, and the Vienna State Opera contributed to a vibrant and collegial atmosphere. In this way, the seminar provided not only intellectual inspiration but also a strong sense of community. It reaffirmed the Journal\u2019s role as a platform for critical, comparative, and transnational legal discourse, and as a community of scholars with a passion for transnational discourse and bridge-building.<\/p>\n
