In the summer semester of 2025, students at EBS Law School worked under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Emanuel V. Towfigh<\/em> to explore the fundamentals of academic work in legal studies <\/strong>for the first time. Over the course of five intensive sessions, the newly designed course covered a wide range of topics: from legal methods and research techniques<\/strong> to the preparation of their own scholarly papers. The aim was not only to convey theoretical knowledge but also to prepare students in a practical way for independent academic work.<\/p>\n

TThe workshop series concluded with a modern and highly topical component: the use of Artificial Intelligence in academic writing<\/strong>. Together, the students analyzed various language models, their possibilities and their limits, gaining a solid understanding of the current state of AI technology in the academic context. The course became especially practice-oriented with the test of the new tool BeamonAI<\/strong><\/a>, developed by our partner BRYTER<\/strong><\/a>. Thanks to this collaboration, students were able to access the tool directly and experiment with it in real-world applications.<\/p>\n

The course impressively demonstrated how traditional legal education and innovative digital tools can be effectively combined. Students not only learned established academic methods but also gained insight into the future of academic work in the era of AI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
