EBS Law School students attend the 11th LSGL Summer School in London

From 16 to 28 July 2023, the 11th LSGL Summer School took place at King’s College London under the theme “Sustainability and Technology.” EBS Law School students Esra Eroglu and Markus Hennig participated in the two-week event.

Each year, the LSGL Summer School brings together top law schools worldwide committed to working together to promote international exchange in legal research and teaching. This year’s event at King’s College London, one of the top 40 universities in the world, offered not only exciting learning opportunities but also the chance to experience the vibrant heart of London with its iconic landmarks, such as Big Ben and the London Eye.

This year’s Summer School was internationally diverse, with 45 students from different countries, including Australia, Brazil, and Mexico. For Esra and Markus, the exchange with students from other legal systems was precious. It allowed them to compare different legal approaches and share personal perspectives on the climate crisis and technological developments.

The faculty of the Summer School came from different universities, which allowed for a diverse transfer of knowledge. The professors were convincing not only with their expertise but also with their inspiring way of teaching. In addition to the instructive content, there were also opportunities for networking at the evening receptions.

Participating in the 11th LSGL Summer School will remain an unforgettable experience for Esra and Markus. The intensive exchange broadened their perspectives and allowed them to interact with aspiring lawyers from all over the world.
