Workshop on Asylum Law with EBS Diversity & Refugee Law Clinic

On 13 April 2024, students of the EBS Diversity & Refugee Law Clinic had the opportunity to take part in a workshop on asylum law. It was led on a pro bono basis by lawyer Mariela Witt. She specialises in migration law and is the founder and owner of the Berlin law firm Justeco. The topics discussed included the various protection statuses for people seeking refuge, current changes to asylum and migration law and the asylum application process.

Thanks to the generous financial support of the CMS Foundation (www.cms-stiftung.de), catering could be provided for the participants. The CMS Foundation was established in October 2015 by the international law firm CMS Germany in order to fulfil its social responsibility more effectively. All people should be able to rely on the legal system—regardless of their origin, social and family status, educational background or financial means. The CMS Foundation supports projects promoting this goal.
