Benedikt Alexander Surmann completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Law at the University of Münster from 2016 to 2020. He then began studying law with a focus on public law, graduating in 2023 with the First State Law Examination.

Since August 2023, Benedikt Alexander Surmann has been Junior Researcher and PhD Candidate at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Emanuel V. Towfigh. Within the Chair, he is in particular the responsible contact person for the EBS Diversity and Refugee Law Clinic.
